Brand Boards

In the last couple of weeks we’ve had a couple of clients have us comp up some ideas to rebrand them. At AdEase, we like to draft up brand boards as a way to show how the brand’s over all visual language on one page. These boards differ with what they contain, depending on the client’s needs for branding. In the case of the Pacific Service Credit Union board, they specifically mentioned the look and feel will have to work both direct mailing pieces in the form of a postcard and a letter. With the McCray Racing, they were looking to see how it would work on their site.

If you look back at the ad, or TV, created for PSCU. Those were focusing on the Americana-warm-home-feel. Those pieces worked best for the specific branch, now PSCU is looking to rebrand completely. Looking back at their notes, we pulled two words – Professional and Approachable. Finding the balance between the two in the board was the challenge but it was fun to play with. This visual language shows a lot of layered object on top of each other, portraiture with the subject looking directly at the camera and a mixture of handwriting fonts and traditional fonts.

Jake Racing is an older client of AdEase. Jake is now racing under McCray and has come to us to create a look and feel for their brand. There weren’t too many restrictions other than have fun. I decided to take huge bite out of the current “urban” design going around with the high contrast silhouettes over bright colored backgrounds.
