Streaking

It’s been three days, so it’s officially a streak. I’ve been inspired by my friend Ron’s post about his running streak. Before Nicolas was born I was running about 2-3 times a week at about 3-6 miles each time. Well, it’s a new year and everyone makes resolutions about getting into shape and this is mine.

I’m going to take from Ron’s formula and adjust it so it can be somewhat realistic for me. I’m going to do at least a mile a day whether it’s jogging or walking. It’ll be a good way for me to get back in shape and since my family has a history of heart disease, this should be good.

I’ll be using this cool site mapmyrun.com to figure out my distance. It’s a very well thought out site for runners. You can log your running routes on an interactive map and search for others’ running paths. There are plenty of other support systems in place for the running enthusiast, like setting goals, training plans and running events. I’ve yet to commit to actually logging my routes but have put together a chart on my own site to log my daily runs. When I get back to going father distances, I’ll contribute to the site. I’m just hoping I can keep this up (crossing fingers).

Uptate: This experiment/resolution failed during my trip to San Francisco in late February due to rain and too much work. I got back on the horse for a few days then just couldn’t keep up. Well, it was fun while it lasted.

Description
A while back, some of my friends decided to have a funny shirt party. While I figured everyone would buy funny shirts, I made mine with the help of Photoshop and some iron-on magic. Two of my closer buddies, who are also my arch-nemeses.. or nemesi, are Joel and Bernie. As much as the three of us rib each other, I thought I could kill three birds with one stone. It worked, my shirt design angered both of them and I won funniest shirt.

I still wear it once in a great while because it fits nicely and Joel hates it. I don’t think Bernie really cares anymore. Anywho, feel free to click the image and download the larger pic (right-click and save as), send it off to wish your loved one a pleasant “Jernie.”

Thank you for visiting my site. It’s still under construction, it needs a few aesthetic tweaks, some of the functionality is still being worked out and you might run into some greek filler text. In the end, I feel there is plenty here to share my work and random thoughts. Every year I make my own holiday card, this year I decided to include a fun link about Nicolas to drive traffic and launch my site.

DescriptionWith the help and patience of my super-traveler-programming-guru-friend, Joe Buangan, I finally have a site. I know he’s a really busy guy, constantly working and always at a different location. He’s currently in Beijing, before that a month in New Zealand, before that three months in Tahiti and before that around eight months in France. Honestly, he might not really be a programmer, I have a theory he’s the real Jason Bourne. Too bad the only picture of him I have is this avatar, it was probably taken before a mission. Spy or not, thank you for your help Joe.

For those visiting for the first time, please come back anytime. Feel free to leave a comment, click a fun clip or just lurk. Happy holidays.

I’m in the middle of making two holiday cards, my own personal holiday card I’ve been making for about 10 years and one for work. In the midst of all this madness, I was forwarded this video and couldn’t help but share.

BTW, I’m a Gold Addy winner… and I got an Emmy somewhere in the past… so why am I working on a holiday card?
